Doing Whatever It Takes
Well, our sleep issues are by no means over. In the effort to get somewhat of a full night's rest, Faith has developed another bad sleep habit. She will not go to sleep unless Mommy or Daddy is laying on the floor next to her. On the spectrum of bad sleep habits, this is not the worst. I would much rather have this than have her in our bed with us. Now when she wakes up in the night, most of the time, all we need to do is go in there, give her another pacifier, and lay down on her floor until she's asleep. However, we are terrified of waking her up when we leave her room. We have discovered that if we stand up, that usually registers with her and she'll wake up. So...once we have determined that she is close to sleep, we belly-crawl out of her room. I would really love to see myself on video doing this. I'm sure it would be very funny. What we don't do for our kids... and sleep.

I've been thinking of you this week as we've been going through the same thing....AGAIN. Last night I sang "Old McDonald" for about 45 minutes at 2 in the morning in order to get Hadley back to sleep. UGH!
