Welcome to Our Home

OK, let's face it, I'm never going to walk through our house taking pictures of our messes, so I thought I'd just share the pictures that were taken at inspection...that way the messes in the pictures aren't ours!
We made the move almost two weeks ago now. It went really well thanks to a very helpful family - we couldn't have done it without you!

Here's the street view of the house. Notice the big trees. We found out last night that the large pine tree at the corner of the house hits the downspout when the wind blows just right. The master bedroom is in that corner, so not much sleep is to be had when it's windy.

The is the view from the front door. The living room in on the left and the steps to get upstairs are to the right. Straight ahead is the door to the kitchen. Around that corner is the half-bath, family room, steps to the basement, and garage access.

Living room at the front of the house. You can see the dinning room on the right.

Dinning room - no the fish tank didn't stay - thank goodness. You can kind of tell that there's a texture to the walls. The previous owner decided that taking down wallpaper was too hard, so she painted over it. In multiple rooms.

Here's the kitchen view when you're standing in the dinning room.

Main floor half-bath. Painted over wallpaper in here too.

This is the family room off the back of the house. It will be our first major project. The wood floor in this room is in rough shape, so we'd like to carpet it. Also, the dark green painted-over wallpaper has to go. There's a slider in this room to get out into the back yard.

This was the room we thought we were going to put Faith in, but she had other plans. Right now it's spare bedroom/toy room.

This was the room that Faith really wanted. She affectionately calls it her 'monkey room'. Surprisingly, she slept through the first few nights at the house...right now it's a different story.

This is the fourth bedroom upstairs. The love seat you see in the picture was left "for" us. We moved it into the basement. This room is basically my closet. Jeff and I have been spoiled. We've lived in four places since we've been married and every one of the them has had a huge walk-in closet. Not so with this house. So, I made this room my walk-in closet!

Finished portion of the basement - a.k.a. Jeff's room

Well, that concludes the tour. If you're ever in the area, stop in to say hello!
